Just before this shot I was forcibly removed from the stage by plainclothes police. I was not happy about that at the time, but overall (with one large exception later at City Hall, in which they removed Dr. Vollertsen for reasons I'm not sure), the police today did a very good job ensuring our safety while at the same time allowing us to demonstrate. Korea has come a long way.
Update: It was pointed out to me later that the police in this photo are using an umbrella to attempt to shield Dr. V.  Next
